2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
2 (6 ounce) cans crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup white sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar for decoration
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, pineapple, sugar, pecans and butter until smooth. Stir into the creamed mixture. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Pour mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
