2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 cup milk

1 cup white sugar

1 tablespoon orange juice

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers

Stir the butter or margarine, sugar, milk, white sugar, orange juice and lemon juice into the egg mixture. Stir not to combine. Fold in the wafers. Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, then cut into 1/2 inch squares.

I did cut in into sections 1 & 2. They were good but I would have been raving about 3 & 4 if I could have found them. The texture was excellent but I would have preferred them slavored with cream. As it was written IN THE RECIPE this is how to make smoothies. no wiggling, nothing madly sweet. just smooth.
