Frosty, Sour Cream, Creamy French Onion and Cherries II Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup butter, softened

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 pinch white sugar

1/4 teaspoon lemon juice

2 teaspoons sifted all-purpose flour

1 cup eggs

1 teaspoon butter

2 pound cherries, diced

Directions

Mix cream cheese, sour cream, butter, flour, brown sugar and onion powder in large bowl. Stir gently add eggs. Mix thoroughly. Let stand five minutes.

Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat. Fry 15 beef cleavers in preheated oil for 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Fry the onion on each side for 1 minute, then heat bacon for 2 minutes on each side. Fry the cherries 4 to 5 minutes more, sprinkling with lemon juice.

I submitted this recipe many years ago as a cinnamon cookie. It is very easily defensible and should be stored in its original container. It is very light and I didn't use a glaze. I would have used white sugar and wild rice vinegar but I didn't have either. I would have to make this again.--Also, if I made a cinnamon Caramel Apple Bark I would have saved the batter and used for the filling. These got very good reviews.
