1 pound beef round steak
1 onion, cut into 4 wedges
1 green bell pepper, cut in 2
1 medium red onion, cut into 2 wedges
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon celery salt
2 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups wine
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
2 tablespoons dried sage
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the beef pieces, onion, bell pepper, red onion, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, beef bouillon, oil, wine, cream, wine, sugar, nutmeg and parsley. Form mixture into 1 inch balls and roll in sage. Place on prepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 90 minutes or until browned. Serve with breadsticks.
