1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup diced onion
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon margarine
In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix with salt. Leave the egg white in.
In a separate bowl, mix water and vegetable oil. Stir into the brown sugar, set aside to be used as a quick tasty syrup.
In a wooden spoon or spoon attachment, mix yeast and flour. Stir the yeast mixture into the brown sugar mixture. Fold the remaining 1/2 cup flour into the batter, mixing just until combined. Well coat with margarine or margarine, but not completely set. Spread the batter into a greased 12 inch round baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely before putting into a greased 13x9 inch casserole or 2 gallon custard dish.
