Garlic Me in Corn Mushroom Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon ketchup

1 liter beer

1 liter beef broth

5 tablespoons whole milk

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 teaspoon dried sage

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dried oregano

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon mustard seed

Directions

Place the oil and onion in a small saucepan over low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender.

Stir in the ketchup, beer, beef broth, white sugar, sage, salt, oregano, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.

One of my favorite sandwiches to make for lunch! If I am having guests, I always bring a large platter of these and steams them into a very large mixing bowl. While they are steaming, my husband will slice them diagonally along the grain, removing any air pockets. Once cool and solid, I remove the cheese and relish. It is super easy to follow and very delicious!
