3 pounds meat lamb - chopped, cured, and dried
2 cups dry mixed meat removed
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1 onion, thinly sliced
6 wedges bread, torn into bite-size pieces
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon paprika
1 lemon, zested
salt to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a mixing bowl combine cured and dried meat, bread crumbs, zasty bread pieces, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, lemon zest and salt. Season with salt to taste.
Line bottom of a 9x5 inch baking dish with pasta-sized meatballs. Place on oven-safe baking sheet and bake in preheated oven 8 to 10 minutes, or until meat is cooked and cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve warm.
