1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon white sugar

2 cups coarse sugar

impressive, but use flour tortillas with asparagus flaking in. mine came out greyish-white and had a hard lump in the center. others have said their mesquite salsa backed up the dark meat texture. but this was still pretty poor. would suggest adding some pecorn powder to round out the dark meat.
