1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 (2 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 (10 ounce) can tomato juice
4 ounces taco seasoning mix
1 (8 ounce) can diced green chiles, drained
1 (4 ounce) can Mexican-style beans, drained
salsa
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix the beef, onion, garlic, olive oil, chili powder, tomato paste, tomato juice, taco seasoning and taco chiles. Mix thoroughly.
Stir the taco seasoning mix into the mixture while mixing with the beef mixture. Spoon the mixture into a 13x9 inch casserole dish, and top with salsa.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally.
I made this without the sweet cream, but everyone always asks for it, so I went for the normal cookie recipe. I thought it was bland so I added 2 tablespoons of baking powder and treached the sugar with flour. It was still pretty thin, so maybe next time I'll add another egg to get it to a really thick consistency. Great taste!
