Corn Chowder III Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon white sugar

3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped cabbage

salt and pepper to taste

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup white sugar

1/3 cup water

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

Heat oil in large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, cabbage and salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring repeatedly, for 3 to 4 minutes. Reduce heat to medium; continue stirring occasionally. Heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Stir in cornstarch. Boil mixture for 2 minutes; add oil. Bring to a slow boil; boil for 1 minute. Stir in cornstarch mixture and cornstarch mixture. Boil mixture for 2 minutes; add cornstarch mixture. Heat through.
