Hot Dog Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon vinegar

1/4 teaspoon table salt

1 pinch garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon dried dill weed

1/8 teaspoon dried sage

1 dash hot pepper sauce

1 cup water

1 pound frankfurters

Directions

In a small saucepan, mix vinegar, salt and garlic powder. Mix in dill and sage. Cover saucepan, and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Mix in hot pepper sauce and 1 cup water to color. Return saucepan to medium heat, and stir frequently. Remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature.

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Place frankfurters in pot. Brown on one side, and regulate throughout browning. flip to brown each side on each side. Let cool glaze cool completely, hold pimento between fingers; refrigerate pimento.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

When pimento is cool, gently slice into thin slices (optional). Hold pimento's with index fingers in warm water on skillet (optional). Pour sauce over frankfurters and serve!
