1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
10 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 apples
1 cup butter flavored shortening
1 cup honey
1 cup white sugar
1 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9-inch pie pan.
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, oil, salt, cinnamon and 2 apples. Mix well.
Stir butter flavoring shortening and ¼ cup honey into wet ingredients until well blended. Mix flour mixture in peach preserves or lemonade if desired.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool in pan and frost. Frost with icing sugar, lemon juice or rhubarb.
