4 eggs
3 1/3 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 pound chocolate syrup
1 cup chocolate candy
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans. In a large bowl, beat 2 eggs, 3 1/3 cups white sugar and 1 tablespoon canola oil until stiff, mix, beat in instant coffee and vanilla. Add milk, flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt; beat into egg mixture. stir in chocolate syrup, chocolate candy and chocolate extract.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Clean any spills on unwrapped cake. Cool completely before frosting cake.
