Green Salad

Ingredients

2 cups raw, unpeated white wheat

1/3 cup chopped Garlic

1/2 cup saltwater

1 large fresh green bell pepper, chopped

9 slices French bread, cooked and cut into 1-inch cube

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Mix 1/2 cup of the cooked, cooked wheat, garlic and saltwater in a gallon plastic bag until well blended. Place bell pepper and Cheddar cheese slices in bag, seal mix and refrigerate for 1 hour to blend.

Spectacular. This was really a wonderful way to make a whole chicken in the crock pot; I used a fryer instead of the pheasants and it came out great! Also, eliminating the bacon, this is a great base recipe for a chicken to which then almost anything can be done for a brand new meal!! Using a meat sauce like you would a normal sauce, this is really good because it keeps the meat moist and tender. It did take longer to make than the recipe stated, though, so budget a extra half hour.
