1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup vegetable oil
1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (18.25 ounce) can sliced almonds, drained
1 cup chopped pitted dates
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) pans.
Place white sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nutmeg in large bowl. Add oil and vinegar; mix together. Stir egg mixture into sugar mixture. Mix flour mixture into apple mixture. Mix eggs mixture with baking powder mixture into pudding mixture. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
While the cake is chilling, mix peanut butter and water together in small bowl. Mix well in large bowl, using hands to moisten edges. Cool and frost with your favorite frosting!
