1 pound ground beef
1 1/2 tablespoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, chopped
1 teaspoon dried parsley
2 (3 ounce) cans Italian-style pasta sauce
3 ounces Italian sausage form (country sausage)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a saucepan, mix ground beef, oregano, basil, sage, garlic powder, thyme, parsley and Italian-style pasta sauce. Mix just enough to coat. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Spread 8 slices of sliced mozzarella cheese over the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan, with 1 cup of cream cheese spread between the strips.
Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until cheese is cooked.
