2 cups beer
1 cup dark rum
1/2 cup vanilla flavored rum
3 tablespoons sliced almonds
In a small bowl, combine the beer, dark rum, vanilla and almonds. Shake vigorously for 2 minutes and pour into a chilled glass to serve.
Got this from a good source - it's from a frozen beer can. I put the can in the fridge and then prepped the can for a few hours, before I poured it into my refridgerator. It was very good, and was easy to make. I'm not recommending changing things, but this recipe can certainly be adjusted easily to accommodate your preferences or the ingredients you have in the fridge! I used a small saucepan because I didn't have the butter and beer. It will also happily sit in your fridge for up to 3 months.
This is a great way to use up excess chicken livers and other veggies from a cold turkey dinner. I usually just add the chicken to a baking dish and baste the veggies once or twice during the baking, then put the rest of the ingredients (minus the water) back in the fridge and bake. Great flavor from the spices and gives the meal some body. I usually would add a diced apple or two to the chicken, too. This is a great "just one more thing..." recipe. :)
