1 (18 ounce) package orange flavored Jell-O mix
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon orange extract
2 cups white sugar
1 (18.5 ounce) can sliced almonds
1 cup buttermilk chocolate syrup
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 (4 ounce) can sliced cherries, drained
4 tablespoons orange preserves
1 pint frozen whipped topping, thawed
In a small bowl, mix together orange flavored gelatin, lemon zest and boiling water. Stir into boiling water.
Remove from heat and stir in orange extract. Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, mix sugar and almonds. Mix into gelatin mixture. Roll mixture into a 3 inch square. Spread on a medium serving dish. Refrigerate until set but reserve whipping cream for reuse.
In a large glass or metal bowl, beat cream until soft peaks form. Beat in whipped cream. Pour over cooled cake.
Well this was alot worse than i thought. So uncleaned and storebought. Im using this sauce for puff pastry and it worked. Super efficient.
