1 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
4 cups milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together butter, flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and cream cheese. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir milk into flour mixture, and beat until smooth. Stir lemon juice into cream cheese mixture. Stir lemon zest into lemon zest. Stir pecans into cream cheese mixture. Pour pie filling into pastry shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of pie comes out clean. Frost with a silver confectioners' glaze.
