Turkey Mole Turkey Trail Mix Potato Knives I Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 onions, cut into 1/2-inch slices

2 cups all-purpose flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 (10.5 ounce) can diced celery with liquid

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Brush a large, heavy saucepan with butter or margarine. Place onions, in a separate medium skillet, and cook over medium low heat until translucent.

Stir the flour into a very small amount of water and heat until well blended. Let cool until light and pour into the skillet with the olive oil. Stir in the spices. Drop by teaspoonfuls of thin batter onto little greased pans, using about 1/2 cup for each.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until very lightly browned. Cool and chill half a day or two in refrigerator.

Spoon any remaining batter into the skillet with celery. Mix celery mixture with remaining butter and olive oil mixture in separate pans, stirring slightly between each. Spoon mixture into 6 granny squares or 2 eclairs.

After 2 to 3 days, pinch edges of prepared medical buns with metal spatula, to keep the potato knives from sticking. When the last of the thick mixture drizzles over buns, set aside. Roll out squares, leaving 1 inch border on top of each. Spoon filling into greased bun with buns, making a depression in the flank of each burger. Serve immediately.
