4 medium sweet potatoes
1 medium onion
1 1/3 tablespoons mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Fry sweet potatoes in boiling salted water 1 to 2 minutes, or until tender. Drain well, cool and cut into cubes. Remove outer skin and flesh of the sweet potatoes.
