8 hamburger loin steaks
2 onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon crushed pepper
salt to taste
Place the steaks in the slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the onions, Worcestershire sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, salt and brown sugar. Mix well. Cover and simmer for 8 hours.
Remove steaks from marinade and return to the slow cooker for another 6 hours or overnight.
As usual, preheat the grill for high heat and lightly oil grate. Grill steaks 20 minutes on each side or until the internal cooking time is reached. Flip steaks and brown on both sides.
Meanwhile, heat the brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the paprika and pepper. Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Transfer steaks to a grill pan.
Brush grill grate with brown sugar mixture and blanch steaks to getting them slightly crisp.
