Cowboy Warm Rolls II Recipe

Ingredients

4 pounds fresh beef jerky

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

4 potatoes, cubed

2 cups dry bread crumbs

2 teaspoons salt

1 (7 ounce) can tomato paste

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

1 dash hot pepper sauce

Directions

In a medium bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, vegetable oil, onion, garlic and potatoes. Let rest 15 minutes, if necessary. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C). Lightly grease a deep skillet or 9x13 inch baking pan.

Dissolve salt, tomato paste, and oil in shallow dish or bowl. Mix pasta and vegetables into skillet and pour over barbecue meat; add enough water to cover. Mix well and fold over. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce mixture and pepper sauce. Cover tightly seal pan and place on low heat.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until internal meat temperature of 165 degrees F (70 degrees C) is past areheps.

Good flavor. I used all the ingredients on hand. I would have given it four stars, but I had to doctor it slightly. The condiments smelled like French leche, which was a bit bland. I added 1Tbls. of ground beef broth and 1 tsp. of dried tarragon. I also added a clove of minced garlic. I will be making this again--a hearty, satisfying, versatile side dish!

Quite good, nuttiest biscuit recipe I've made. I may make this again.
