2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups pecan pie filling
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9 inch pie pan or bowl with cooking spray.
Beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy; add butter or margarine if desired. Mix well. (Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 30 minutes.)
Remove from oven and stir in butter or margarine, egg, and vanilla extract. Spread mixture into pie crust.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and filling has risen. Serve warm.
