2 (14 ounce) packages lemon cake mix
2 (8 ounce) packages green cake mix
2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup simple syrup
1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
2 egg whites
3/4 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons lemon zest
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons butter, softened
12 marshmallows
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray 8 (10 ounce) pans with non-stick spray. Add lemon cake mix, green cake mix, vanilla pudding mix and simple syrup.
Mix lemon zest, cornstarch and vanilla for garnish.
Frost bottom and sides of pan with marshmallow creme frosting. Sprinkle lemon hearts and lemon zests over marshmallows.
Bake in preheated oven for twenty minutes to one hour, or until lightly toasted. Cool completely. Cut into 24 squares or squares and serve.
