1 pound bacon
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
1 (2 ounce) jar diced celery
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
10 slices processed cheese food, e.g. Tabasco sauce
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown and crispy. Drain, crumble and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine mushrooms, celery, eggs, milk, onion and green bell pepper. Mix well and transfer mixture to a large bowl. Stir in cheese. Make a small mixing bowl, and pour into a lightly greased 12-in. x 12-in. x 2-in. baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 3 to 4 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and bubbly, stirring constantly. Trim edges if necessary. Allow to cool before serving.
I was born in the US, but both parents are Chileans-- this recipe is perfect! Everything about this is delicious! If I had more time I'd make it more often but it seems to get pretty boring really quick. So simple too--wonderful recipe
