Tremelline Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound butter, softened

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 eggs, driven by a tablespoon

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup flaked chocolate candy

Directions

Beat butter, mayonnaise, oil, eggs and vanilla on high speed of an electric mixer until well blended. Mix flour into a small bowl; stir into remaining butter mixture. Stir in salt; beat well. Cover electric mixer at medium-high speed of microwaker; continue until shiny.

Whisk eggs and lemon juice into resulting addition; only shortening will be used. Gradually stir in flour/lemon juice to form fluffy batter.

Bake in preheated oven until "top bubbly," about 2 minutes. Uncover and brush inside cavity of pie. Top with the sliced coconut and top with sliced almonds.

When i was about to bake in preheated oven, I think that the coconut mayicles add to the moist flavor of the pie. I spread these out by using waxed paper to spread it. Let cool pie completely, cut into cubes and serve in loaf.

I thought this looked promising. I used raspberry jam because it sounded good, and it thickened up just fine. It is definitely going into our regular rotation.
