Aunt Jean's Orange Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) pie crust

1 1/2 cups orange juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon orange zest

1/2 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 (3 ounce) can sliced oranges, drained

1 (8 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juice

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup sliced almonds

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Prepare the pie crust by placing an egg white over the top of it, using about 1 tablespoon of orange juice and lemon zest for each drop of lemon juice, and using lemon-lime soda as desired.

Place sliced oranges and tomatoes on one side of the pie. Fill the bottom of the pie with cream cheese and spread the cream cheese over it, then spoon the orange juice over the cream cheese mixture.

Pour orange juice over the top of the pie. Sprinkle with granulated sugar while serving.
