Chocolate Pecan Pie II Recipe

Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening

1 cup white sugar

3 tablespoons light corn syrup

1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1 1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup white sugar for decoration

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Stir together shortening, white sugar, corn syrup, and cream cheese. Add egg, vanilla, and white sugar, mixing just until. Divide in half, filling each half with 1/2 cup of the cream cheese mixture.

Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Cool completely. Cool completely. Serve warm or cold.
