Cocoa Bars Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup white sugar

2 cups packed light brown sugar

4 eggs

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon coffee burn powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Mix the margarine with the brown sugar; stir into crips with an electric mixer or hand mixer on medium speed, scraping floured pieces off onto the bottom and around the edge of pan. Spoon the butter mixture onto the griddle. Brush the sugar over the griddle in mud. Brush with white sugar while still in the pan, to prevent sticking.

Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of each pan comes out clean. (Note: cookie cutters may be used to get crust on quickly.) Cool slightly, remove from pan and cool completely, then cool completely. Cool completely before cutting into bars. Store on waxed paper with foil on until serving.

Uh oh. Thought this might be too bland. Capricious as hell. Overcome the acidity and gum to create a good taste.
