Vegetarian Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

1 onion, seeded and chopped

1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

1 (16 ounce) can Italian-style tomato soup

1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste

2 tablespoons minced fresh dill weed

1/4 teaspoon dried sage

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1 1/4 cups chopped green pepper

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, tomato sauce, onion, tomato soup, tomato paste, garlic powder, dill weed, sage, thyme, salt, and onion slices. Mix thoroughly. Form mixture into a sandwich shape. Shape mixture into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place slices on hot toast.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until heated through. Drain on paper towels and serve.
