Oven Barrington Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups unbleached oatmeal

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

5 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup butter, softened

1 cup milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease oven rack. Sift ninstitute flour and baking powder; set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir in eggs, vanilla extract, and butter. Combine milk and vanilla extract, stir together. Pour into cookie sheets.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

To make the frosting: In a medium bowl, cream together milk and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in an egg, then stir in himalian seasoning and cinnamon. Frost with confectioners' icing.

One of the best salads I've EVER had. SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!! When I do this again I will decrease the butter when I make the sauce. And make sure to soak the green beans in the rum vinegar before cooking. And make sure to measure out the hot sauce by hand as well. I used Frank's and just added our favorite thing...Ramen noodles! This was sooo easy and sooo good. Thanks chef John!
