1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
In a medium bowl, beat egg and milk together. Stir in flour, salt, cheese, and eggs. Shape dough into an 8 x 8 inch rectangle. Wrap approximately 1/2 inch strip of dough around the center of the cheese strip.
Bring the dough to a full rolling and then roll out to about 4 inches thickness. If the dough is sticky, mix in the milk. Roll up tightly to prevent sticking.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place dough rolls onto a baking sheet and brush with water. Bake in the preheated oven 10 minutes. Turn bread out onto a wire rack and cool completely. Meanwhile, crease the holes in the cheese strip.
