Cheese Gravy III Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 pound creamy Italian sausage

2 onions, chopped

1 cup water

1 (5.5 ounce) can tomato sauce

6 international saltine crackers

2 (8 ounce) cans Italian-style ground beef

2 tablespoons butter

8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, reducing heat when it begins to brown. Add onions and water. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or until onions are softened, turning lights brown.

In a medium saucepan, heat tomato sauce over medium heat until boiling. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir the tomato sauce into the sausage browning mixture. Cook a few seconds, then add cheese and simmer until cheese is melted. Serve with bread.
