1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
3 tablespoons lemon wine
1 cup boiling water
In a medium bowl, mix sugar, vanilla extract, salt, lemon juice and lemon zest. Pour lemon wine into a small bowl and mix with boiling water. Shake vigorously, and pour mixture into a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
