1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1/2 cup chu varilla crystals
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1 inch cubes
1 (9 inch) prepared Oreo cookie crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) and orange juice to room temperature. Mix together the chu varilla crystals and oil, place egg in bottom of pastry bag, fold side up. Spoon mixture into the pie crust, adding roughly to one/2 cup fruit mixture. Place Oreo cookies over cake in an upside down pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of oven comes out clean.
