1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 medium sweet onions, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons pepper
3 slices bacon
meat sausage, sliced into 1 inch rounds
1 large potato - peeled and diced
1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add flour and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Add milk and stir until smooth, then pour over chili as desired. Toss thoroughly with bacon grease and sprinkle with potato slices. Season with mayonnaise and sprinkle with paprika. Season remaining potatoes with mayonnaise, paprika, salt and pepper. Place the lid of a 9x13 inch baking dish over a blanket of foil so that foil enclose the filling and seal the pie crust, serving immediately.
Bake approximately 1/2 hour or until golden brown; remove foil once cool. Serve hot!
Good recipe. I used my beef chuck roast to give it a little more flavor. I also used my Worcestershire sauce which I had over-the-counter in the fridge. It came out pretty darn good!
