1 (8 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger chili seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried chives, crushed
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt to taste
1/8 cup chicken broth
3 slices bacon
Place beans in a large bowl. Mix oil with onion, garlic powder, bell pepper and chili powder; stir to coat. Fry in preheated skillet on medium heat for approximately 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium. Saute until peppers are very hot, about 3 minutes. Mix in chili seasoning, oregano, chives and pepper; mix well. Add chicken broth and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir corn and onions into beans mixture; heat through.
Stir sausage into beans mixture; add tomatoes, onions and green pepper and heat through.
