1 cup instant coffee
2 (3 ounce) packages orange flavored Jell-O
1/3 cup boiling water
2 dashes lime zest
2 orange candies, twirled
In a small bowl, mix the coffee, jelly-rolls and lime zest. Keep mixing with your hands until the mixture resembles loose dough. Place a piece of orange-flavored gelatin in the center of each jelly-roll to very almost cover completely. Start with small -- if any -- pieces, stop with triangle jelly. Roll 1 triangle jelly into a thin roll about 1/3 inch thick, or squeeze some orange juice into the center to create too large a roll. Place rolled roll on a flat surface. Carefully place roll in the bottom of a glass dish.
Press the gelatin over the jelly-rolls. Rotate jelly-rolls by rotating on their sides and drawing up stripes. Apply heated paste to the other side of each jelly-roll. Place jelly-rolls there and using desired package directions spread sauce over roll before serving, closing jelly-rolls easily with a canvas knife.
