1 cup butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup coarse corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped dates
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, baking powder, baking soda, and chopped walnuts. Fold in corn syrup, brown sugar, dates, lemon zest, and cinnamon. Pour mixture into greased 9x13 inch baking pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of cookie is barely inserted. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets.
