1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Melt 2 eggs in a large bowl. Stir in one cup of butter, sugar, milk and eggs. Mix all thoroughly. Pour batter into 9-inch pie pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until center of pie is almost set.
When cool, cut into small squares. Place chocolate pieces on top, then chocolate shavings over top. Cool before cutting into squares.
