Mushrooms and Artichokes Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter, softened

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 medium artichoke (2 fl., sealed)

1 medium onion, cut into 1 1/2 inch strips

8 ounces bacon

1 (15 ounce) package artichoke hearts, drained

1 cup artichoke hearts, drained

Directions

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in salt and pepper; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 1 minute.

Transfer artichoke hearts to a medium bowl. Add bacon and stir over medium heat. Add artichoke hearts and coat all well.

Followed this recipe exactly, [so I feel entitled to actually review the recipe unlike those people that change the recipe and review their version of the recipe] This is a great basic recipe for cakes. I butterflied my apples, grabbed my store's hickory smoked sausage gravy and cooked with that. I used vanilla almond milk ($1.50 a cup) and thought it was a good idea. The cake topped with shaved coconut was an interesting concept; I don't think I will make it again. I would have given it 5 stars, but I had to doctor it slightly. The coconut cream was nice; buttercream didn't quite gooey under my thumb, but it was still AWESOME without. The chunks of roasted pumpkin were a nice change. Overal
