Simple Balm Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 (14 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes with green chile peppers

1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1 pinch salt

1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary

1/8 teaspoon dried sage

1/8 teaspoon dried marjoram

Directions

In a mixing bowl, mix tomato paste, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, rosemary, basil, marjoram and salt.

Pour tomato sauce over muffins. Top with chopped tomato.

Cover muffins and refrigerate 1 hour. Sprinkle with marjoram and serve warm.

I made this for my family who were all berry eaters. Everyone loved it but my husband who dislikes nuts immediately tried the topping. It was there but not very crisp. I will make this again but will reduce the cream cheese and nuts. It was very good. I used walnuts because they are expensive and I was able to find them in my local drugstore. I would recommend trying walnuts in a couple of weeks time...
