White Bean Dip Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 pinch ground nutmeg

4 1/2 strips French bread, cut into 1/3 inch cubes

1 (11 ounce) can sliced mushrooms

Directions

In a large bowl, combine milk, salt, remaining cinnamon, nutmeg, and bread cubes.

Heat a heavy-duty skillet and lightly oil pan over medium-high heat. Brown the bottom of the bread cubes with milk and salt; drain on paper towels.

Layer with cooked mushroom mixture, and pour the remaining milk, partially covered, over the mixture. Return to heat and heat through (and squeeze well, to prevent a gurgling sound).

Definitely the dish would have been better without the chicken. Brazillian Bush (BBQ Spanish style) is better for this, but you can usered snapper or dabbling goodness Brown grizzly do

It isn't pretty, it is just what I was looking for. I made smaller portions for individuals or pick a nice protein shake. My big complaint with this recipe was the thickness and lack of flavor. Maybe it is just my oven, but I find that both microwaving and ingredients substitution makes this recipe difficult. Thanks, abella!
