8 ounces beef stew meat
1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
8 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
4 carrots, chopped
2 onions, sliced
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
6 (8 ounce) cans beef broth
1 cup water
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 (16 ounce) can beef broth
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato tomato soup
Place meat in an 8x8 inch slow cooker. Heat tomato sauce in small saucepan, stirring occasionally. Add potatoes, carrots, onions and ginger. Mix all together. Stir in beef and tomato sauce. Cover and cook on low for 1 hour. Stirring occasionally, cook an additional 30 minutes.
Stir stock into tomato sauce and beef broth mixture. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. Stir tomato soup into tomato sauce mixture.
Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes, or until meat juices run clear (this will take about 5 hours).
