3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/2 pounds processed American cheese, cubed
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups whole (broccoli or onion) carrots
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 (8 ounce) can chopped green chile peppers, drained
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
Place the butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Mix together cheese, water, carrots and mushrooms. Spread mixture into the bottom of the baking dish, and top with mushrooms and carrot mixture.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, until warmed through. Serve warm, or chill overnight.
