1 (16 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (16 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
1 (6 ounce) can sliced walnuts, drained
1 egg, beaten
1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 eggs
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup milk
3 eggs
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pineapple, butter, walnuts, eggs, lemon zest, sugar, milk, eggs, lemon zest, and sugar until well blended. Fold in banana pudding mix and vanilla extract. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely before removing from pans.
