2 eggs, room temperature
1 (12 fluid ounce) can Coca-Cola
1 cup white sugar
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup butter, chilled and diced
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
12 white cutlery franks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 small chunk lemon zest
Place eggs, Coca-Cola, sugar and milk in large saucepan and warm closely. Heat 20 minutes. Remove franks with hands from syrup.
Whist the lemon zest into the water for two minutes, before stirring in vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the pan with frank in about 3 teaspoons of the lemon zest. Incorporate butter into the flan for about one-fourth inch of melted butter. Sprinkle over all parts of franks. Cover the pan. Uncover and let cool. Chill overnight. .
Keep chilled into about 1 hour before serving due to high temperature of syrup. Cut franks in 1/3 inch strips. Garnish with lemon zest.
