Apple Bread II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup boiled egg

1 cup boiling water

4 tablespoons butter

4 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 1/2 cups white sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup butter, chilled and diced

1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, mix egg, boiling water, butter, cinnamon, sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Mix flour into egg mixture. Fold into the batter. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Cool completely. Place loaf in pans covered with aluminum foil.

Spread frosting over loaf; drizzle with half of pecans. Place remaining pecans on top of loaf. Spread topping over loaf. Chill in refrigerator. Garnish with remaining pecans.
