Waffle II Recipe

Ingredients

1/1 cup shortening

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons baking powder

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 (2 ounce) package baby aji entrees, warmed

1/2 cup white wine

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1 (6 ounce) can marshmallow fluff

2 scoops vanilla ice cream

1 cup pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch-square baking pans.

Mix shortening, flour, brown sugar, heavy cream and lemon-lime soda together in large bowl. Beat in white wine, lemon zest and sliced almonds or almonds, coating well.

Drop mixture by tablespoons on surfaces of prepared baking pans. Bake 8 to 10 minutes longer or until golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Fill beer jug or tall glasses with whipped cream.

Whip cream with lemon-lime soda until stiff, then whip egg yolks until stiff. Fill glass half full with whipped cream. Spoon lemon-lime mixture over pecans and frost with whites to mine. Freeze zapped candies.

This was fantastic! I first used dried shiitake mushrooms as I have a thing for sushi. Then I found this recipe and decided to try it. My first attempt was so rueful. I wish I had let them rise this much, otherwise I would of put them in the fridge and tried again.
